McCabe Gasoline level indicator paste

The Gasoline level indicator paste is a light sky blue paste that turns darker blue when immersed in gasoline, diesel, kerosene, naphtha, heating oil, light crude oil, jet fuel, vegetable oils and a variety of petrochemicals. It has a thick, toothpaste-like consistency and comes in a jar.

Application: 

Spread a smooth, even layer of the product on the bob or gauge where you expect the air/product interface to be. Once in the product, let it soak for about five to ten seconds and the paste will turn a dark blue. (Note that some heavier products require longer immersion time.) When reading the results, look for a straight, sharp mark on the meter, light blue above/dark blue below.

Remark:

If the gasoline paste separates over time, stir before use, mixing to the original light blue color with a thick, toothpaste-like consistency.
