The Closed oil gauging tape ( COGT ) is a hartwig instruments designed product where we have put our trusty oil gauging tapes in a closed housing.
With the closed oil gauging tape you can measuring the innage and ullage without being exposed to hazardous vapors and gases.
Each delivery contains the COGT with a calibrated tape complete with certificates. Carrying case is sold seperatly.
The instruments is equiped with a TW 2" coupling - adapters available upon request.
Closed Oil Gauging Tape - Stainless Steel 30 meter
The Closed oil gauging tape is a new Hartwig Instruments designed product - it uses our trusty oil gauging tapes that are commonly used in the oil and gas industry and by inspection company's.
With the COGT you can measure your ullage or innage without being exposed to dangerous vapors and gasses and reduces the emmision on the measuring jobs.
The measuring tape is our Polyamide coated steel tape , Class 1 with a brass dipweight attached to it - the tapes comes with a calibration certificate.
When taking a innage ( complete liquid height in tank ) you can read the tape trough the primary sight glass and readings can be obtained directly without correction.
An Ullage measurement can be read at the readout point ( see manual ) and must be corrected with 300mm.
The storage tubes is made from Stainless Steel 316L and usses a sightglass from borosilicate and is chemical and heat resistance- the Housing is made from coated Alu and stainless steel. Each unit is tested up to 0.3bar overpressure for gastightness.
Do note that this product is used in a dangerous envirement and must be grounded before and during use!
Coupling to the vaporlock is done by a 2"TW coupling, - other coupling or adapters are available for vaporlocks for MMC or TankTECH

Maximum permissible errors: Formula: (a+b.l) in which 'L' is the length in question "a" and "b" are coefficients fixed for each class of accuracy. Class I (a=0.1 mm, b=0.1 mm, L= length in m) example 10m tape: 1.1 mm - Width : 13x0.2 mm
